GRIGRI is a belayer with assisted braking system designed to facilitate belaying maneuvers in the gym and at crags. Compact and lightweight, it is used with all single ropes between 8.5 and 11 mm in diameter. The assisted braking system improves belaying comfort when working routes and stopping falls. Handle demultiplexing provides exceptional rappel control.
Description
- Assisted braking system belayer compatible with all diameters of single ropes, for practice in the gym and at crags:
- common technique, based on accompanying the rope into the device and permanently holding one hand on the braking side of the rope,
- belaying comfort, thanks to the assisted braking system: in case of a climber's fall, the device rotates on the carabiner, the rope goes into tension and the cam tightens the rope to brake it. The hand, which holds the rope on the braking side, allows the cam to be actuated, so it is necessary to hold the rope on the braking side at all times,
- compatible with all dynamic single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm and optimized for ropes between 8.9 and 10.5 mm in diameter,
- installation drawing on the rope engraved on the belayer (inside and outside).

- comfortable grip and easy rope release, thanks to the ergonomic handle,
- very progressive control of rope glide to ensure smooth and comfortable rappelling.
